The Buzzcocks - Nottingham
Rock City
21.01.2009 Support Bands - The Lurkers I'd been looking forward to this gig for a while now and it was totally worth the wait. Support band The Lurkers were an excellent opening act, getting the crowd buzzing and pogoing before the Buzzcocks came on with catchy Old Skool Punk tunes like Shadow and New Guitar in Town. I wouldn't hesitate to go and watch this band again should the opportunity arise. The Buzzcocks, well what can I say. I knew it was going to be a good gig because there isn't a song that I can truly say I don't like from these guys. Their tunes are catchy and can bring you out of your most depressive mood. Their most famous tune being 'Ever fallen in love', which I reckon is known by just about everyone and might be one of the catchiest tune in the history of music is only one of my many favourites. I could listen to this band over and over and never get bored of them. The only bad thing I could say about them was that the didn't interact with the audience to a great degree. They seemed to be just there to play and nothing else. But play they did and enjoy it I most certainly did.
