The Levellers - Conkers 07.07.2006 What
could be more wonderful than an acoustic set performed by The Levellers in the
beautiful surroundings of Conkers, an environmental theme park set in the Heart
of the National Forest. Having seen
The Levellers play twice in As
one of my favourite bands for many years, I usually go to see them at least
twice a year as they keep me feeling happy with their bouncy tunes. As you
jump around to the hypnotic tunes, pay attention to the lyrics you cannot help
but sing. All the songs reflect experiences that everyone can connect to
or issues that will tear at the heart strings of even the hardest of men.
Whether it be songs that make you laugh or cry, you are guaranteed to enjoy
every minute of a Leveller's gig. Once seen never forgotten. These
guys are enjoyed by all ages and people from so many different walks of life.
If you haven't seen them I suggested you get your weary hard-worked ass to at
least one gig and once you have you will be converted. I recommend an
electric set and an acoustic set before you make up your mind as it is hard to
believe that you are watching the same band. Or better still, how about a
weekend at The Levellers own Festival, Beautiful Days. Check out The
Levellers Official Website for more info on tour dates etc.
