Strummercamp 07

Neither weather nor unimpressed neighbours could deter bands and fans from showing up at this year’s Strummercamp to remember and pay tribute to The Clash’s singer/guitarist, Joe Strummer.

With 3 undercover stages showing performances from bands The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Goldblade, Hugh Cornwall, Verbal Warning, Grit, May Contain Nuts and many many more.  Linear Combat Rock, who traveled over from Italy surviving the Italian airport strikes and our cold weather, gave an excellent performance of Italian punk rock and were one of my highlights from the weekend.  With 3 Clash cover bands and a guest star showing from Joe Strummer’s guitar, it proved to be a successful weekend. 

Should the neighbours allow it again next year, I shall definitely be going again and recommend that you all do.
