Are your bin men recycling your waste correctly?

Yes, it is time we were watching our bin men more closely.

I, as probably most of my readers do,  painstakingly sort through all my rubbish and separate all my recyclables but this week it was noticed that the bin men were mixing our blue bin (recyclable plastics, glass and cardboard) in with our brown bin waste (Grass clipping, plants, teabags, egg shells and vegetable peelings).  An email was sent to the local Council to find out why this was happening as we've always been doing our bit for the environment.  They are investigating.  I can't wait for their reply.

In the mean time readers, watch your bin men closely.  Remember, if we put the wrong stuff in our recycling, garden waste or rubbish bins then the bin men can refuse collection or even fine us in some circumstances.....
