DJ's or Dictators

Has anyone listened to the radio recently?  Do you think that DJs are biased about the music they play?  Who are they to dictate what we listen to and what we buy.  In days long past I remember DJ's playing a variety of music and letting you make up you own minds on what would appear at number one in the charts, even if they had a personal hate of the music or band.  Now it's like '1984' - the novel not the year.

High street music shops are the same.  Only promoting the CD's they want to and putting the price up on the ones that aren't produced by their own companies.  Stomping on the little man who can't get a foot in the door with the music producers because it's not 'Pop', it's not 'mainstream' but mainly because it's 'DIFFERENT'.

Well I don't know about you but I like DIFFERENT.  I like music that's got something to say.  I like musicians who can play an instrument and write a song.  I don't want to be numbed into a lifeless coma by music the thuds out the same beat.  That's why I enjoy Verbal Warning and bands like them.  They've got something to say and they can definitely play.  This is the music the DJs should be playing.
