Spiderman 3

Contain your excitement folks.  Although Spiderman 3 has some great villains and the usual standard of special effects, 3 is not the magic number for Spiderman.  The fight scenes at the beginning between Spiderman and the New Goblin, as they are now calling him, were too fast to focus on making it difficult to keep up with who did what to whom.  After that the storyline took on it’s own adaptation as the black matter brought down from space in the space shuttle was suddenly just a small asteroid crashing on Earth.  After that change to the original comic/cartoon series, the story then went on fast-forward to seemingly fit it into this, the supposed last Spiderman film.

In my personal opinion, the movie over-emphasized the slushiness and didn’t bring across the superhero vs villain story that we all loved with the first two films.  However, I did enjoy it but the 2nd was definitely my favourite.  If you’re a fan, go and see it but be prepared for some disappointment if your expecting it to be as good as the last 2.

7/10
