Stepford Wives remake

As you well know from other reviews, I don’t hold out much hope for film remakes.  I remember watching the original movie many years ago at the age of about 14 and remember it to be a potentially scary idea adapted into a very dark horror film.  Anyway, from the adverts I had seen, I knew that it was not going to be a horror and so geared myself up for a bit of a comedy.  May I say, that I was impressed with this remake.  Although not a total remake, the movie reflected the time we live in now and was humorous but it kept the dark side of the tale within its comedy all the way through with an added twist at the end.  Even though I probably wouldn’t buy it, I would definitely watch it again.
