You won’t believe it’s real until you actually visit this excavated street from the past.  It makes you wonder just what may be below your own dwelling.  Supposedly haunted as well as a piece of history, Mary King’s Close not only lets you into a few ghost stories on your way round but you actually learn how people lived in Edinburgh in that time.  It’s hard to believe that this street could just be built on top of with shops and houses, forgotten for a few hundred years and then re-found.  It is a truly amazing thing to see.  Highly recommend that you take the time to visit this tour, it’s worth every penny.
