Piers Paul Read - Alive

This is one of my favourite books of all time and I could read it over and over again.  A true account of how a chartered plane carrying forty-five passengers crashed in the Andes and how the survivors not only had to deal with the death of family and friends, avalanches, but also had find their own way out of the mountain range to civilization or face starvation.

I cannot put down in words how much admiration I have for the survivor's camaraderie in the face of shear adversity and this book get all of the feeling across.

I highly recommend this book for everyone to read, especially if you feel you're at rock bottom.  This real-life story is an inspiration of true friendship and the book is so well written that you feel as if you could almost be there.

10/10
