Hart Hotel Restaurant

I went to Harts with a group of friends and we enjoyed a delicious meal with top quality service.  I only have two issues with this restaurant.

Firstly this restaurant serves excellent food but I was sad to see that this well established restaurant is still including Fois Gras on its menu.  With menu full of delicious food like this restaurant serves, should it really need to encourage animal cruelty by serving produce that comes from ducks/geese that are forced food through a tube to make their livers larger and that by doing this makes the animal uncomfortable and then ultimately kills them.

Secondly when paying our bill the gratuity was added at 12% which we thought was reasonable until I asked the waiter how much he actually received.  The reply was 2% goes to the staff and 10% goes to the restaurant.  I immediately had the gratuity taken off the bill and we paid the tip directly to the waiter.

It is because of these 2 reasons that I will not be eating at Harts again or giving it a rating.
