THE
TOLLHOUSE – 30/01/08 Trentside,
Gunthorpe, Nottingham, Recommended
for that special night out, visit the Tollhouse for a very tasty array of truly
scrumptious foods. The restaurant
is very cosy, having an area where you can sit and mull over the menu before you
move into the tastefully decorated 40 seat eating area. Located
on the side of the River Trent, in the winter, you can sit by the French windows
as we did and look out on the water. In the summer, you can take this eating
experience outside and dine alfresco. The
service was very professional and the food done to perfection.
My only issue with the food was the selection of vegetarian food.
If you didn’t like goat’s cheese then as a veggie you wouldn’t have
been able to eat as the only options for starter and main for a true
vegetarian contained goat’s cheese. But
other than this slight hiccup on the menu I would give this restaurant: 9/10
