Twins

I see you there,
It cannot be,
I continue to stare,
Because you look like me.

Two separate girls,
With faces same,
From different worlds,
With different names.

By chance we meet,
Coincidence,
We take a seat,
Beside the fence.

Our mouths wide open,
For flies we catch,
Both aged ten,
A perfect match.

Same red hair,
Same blue bows,
Same things we wear,
Same freckled nose.

Everything's a perfect match,
A reflection through and through,
There has to be some sort of catch,
It's too good to be true.

Despite me being an only child,
There was always a feeling there,
I longed for someone just like me,
Someone to play and share.

And now it seems my dream's come true,
A double life begins,
To spend a lifetime playing with you,
Because I'm now a twin.
